Go to Schoology and the Primary Documents in Unit 1. Review and Analyze the Documents to gain a greater understanding of the relationship between the European Explorers and Native Americans. Answer the Following Questions:
1. Did de la Casas' review make sense after Columbus' letter to the King and Queen? Or in other words, did the Spanish (Europeans) act as Columbus said they would? How so?
2. Do you see any ways in which the colonists and America learned and/or used the Iroquois Constitution?
3. Briefly analyze the population of Native Americans in the 1500s. Does the total population make sense with how you view the Native's interaction with the environment, with each other, and with the new European settlers?
